When Aiken gets around to checking in on Sylvania Jack, he finds that the traveling otter has rented one of the Deluxe Adventurer cabins and moved in his… stuff. There crates upon crates of relics, books, tablets and broken weapons, and Aiken can't help but peek, since it sounds like Jack is taking a bath.
He does call out to the otter, who makes a dramatic entrance… only to be disappointed that Aiken isn't a girl (which makes the Kadie wonder what about his voice sounds feminine). Jack lets him look through things while he gets some fresh clothes, and Aiken is in Nirvana for a bit.
Finally, Aiken takes Jack to see Emmett, since Jack wanted to find the Oggtons. Along the way the Akwavi mildly chides Aiken for not seeing more of the world, at least on the pretext of helping expand his clan's influence.
At Emmett's 'Bote Rentils' stand, the two Akwavi get off on the wrong foot, and Aiken tries to keep things civil. Eventually, Emmett agrees (for a small gratuity) to go see Granny Oggton and let her know one of her sister Viveka's great-grandkids is here to see her.
