The final battle with Abzhalom Dack begins. Both Tulani and Alptraum shift into their more impressive forms and do battle with Dack's remaining minions. Tulani faces off against a summoned demon. Alptraum quickly defeats the human male that had been Dack's assistant. Arkold arrives on the scene with backup. While he goes to aide Tulani against the demon, Phlagaea helps Alptraum. The battle is fast and furious … but the group winsg the day. In the final blow, Alptraum dumps half of the souls gathered into the necromancer's body and they all run. While they run, Dack's body mutates into the shape of the their former enemy … the evil steel dragon, Vorgulremik. But thankfully the change is short lived … he explodes in an amazing display of light and thunder. In the aftermath, they return to the crater left behind. There Alptraum finds the crystal he had been pursuing for many years. It is also there he finally captures the Shadow; though it proves to be incredibly difficult and has some detrimental effects on his body. But, in the end, the group returns to Gormless, victorious.
