After getting out of the old warehouse where Gunther's 'interrogation' took place, Olivia is making her way out of the Kettenrad compound when she overhears voices coming from Zahn's workshop.

She recognizes Parsley's voice, but the subject matter makes her suspicious, so she decides to peek in through a window. She sees that the pair is working on one of Zahn's machines, and not up to any hanky-panky like she first suspected. She decides to pop in and say hello.

The Skeek explains about Liliana going missing, and the three discuss it: Zahn thinking Djivan might have something to do with it, of course. Parsley admits to having met Lili only briefly while checking to see if some of the Lapi bucks with the Gypsies would make suitable additions to the Chalk clan.

Olivia also mentions the 'bleeding stone' that the spirit mentioned to her while they were helping Buffy. Zahn surprises her by saying the phrase sounded familiar, since Clover mumbled about 'no blood from a stone' a lot after she was recovered from the underground tunnels.

When pressed, Zahn mentions the 'fist and stone' symbol he and Amy found in the underground lab, on bins full of bones. Olivia notes that she'd like to look into that further, if Zahn is willing to take her. They agree to meet early in the morning for another trip into the ancient underground buildings.

Parsley is relieve that she doesn't have to go with them, and Zahn talks to her more about Clover and what he can do to help her recover – which leads to him designing an exercise machine for her legs.
