Amelia finds Zahn asleep in the castle guest room, using Clover as a pillow and being cuddled by Parsley. She wakes him up gently, and Zahn explains that nothing happened, even though the Lapi twins did try to seduce him.

He explains about the side-effects of Natasha's spirit-binding ritual, and how he can sort of feel the presence of the two does now. Amelia is relieved to find out their attraction to Zahn is apparently just physical, which confuses Zahn to no end.

Even more confusing is the revelation that Amelia and the does were best friends growing up, until she and Clover decided to be rivals. She tells Zahn he can invite Parsley to stay with them, but that the does can't 'have' Zahn until after Amy herself has first.

Amy tells Zahn about what Olivia found out, and how Gunther knows about the underground tunnels now as a result. This worries Zahn, naturally, but Amy claims that Gunther is under control for now. She also tells him that she plans to see Bravil about sword training, and this worries him too, since he still has nightmares about the giant Jupani's attack on him while under the control of Valicross the necromancer.

Amy leaves, and Parsley wakes up. Zahn goes over the 'deal' with her, and she seems happy to accept it – and immediately points out all the loopholes that can be taken advantage of. She offers to try and relax Zahnrad with aromatherapy and massage like she used to do with Amelia when they were younger. This also causes Zahn's brain to short-circuit for a bit.
