The Sixth Kadam is attempting to raise Dagh in a cemetary in Darkside through ritual Sacrifice. Abandonned, but not deserted, they are observed by Aaron, Bambridge and Jynx who are also present for various reasons. Francisco is being offered as the sacrifice, though the ceremony is only partially complete when Aaron and Bambridge interfere. Aaron's distraction is heckling, Bambridge's is to rescue the secondary sacrifice, which is what Jynx suspects to be his sister Eve. Aaron is successful, and gets chased by a Cervani cultist, Bambridge lets the cat out of the bag to discover it is really a Fuff'nar, and Jynx finds only a hole, that he falls down.
The Fuff'nar attaches to a cultist, who accidentally cuts Francisco while struggling with it. The Kitsune's blood reaches the altar, and part of the summoning is successful, awakening all the spirits in the Graveyard. Bambridge takes the staff from the Head Cultist with his tongue, and orders the spirits to punish the cultists. One of them, a siamese Khatta, has second thoughts and frees Francisco. In the confusion following, several people have spirit induced hallucinations, and everyone flees the graveyard.
