Jarik and Ben try to track down the stolen sword, but find that Achimed's shop is closed. In a nearby coffeehouse, they spot Tirro as he is leaving, urgently headed toward Darkside with warnings of an ill fate in store for it. In Darkside, chaos ensues as the Templars, led by Inquisitor Melchizedek, set fire to buildings and put the sector's defenders to the sword. In the midst of all this, Jarik and Ben spot some helpless raccoons stranded in the upper story of a building caught on fire…
