After leaving Master Sharif and regaining some of his senses, Mage Kessler ventures to the Library of the Sphere of Fire in order to research his new project. However, the keiltyn mage is soon interrupted by a young Apprentice Xander, who in forms the fox mage that Mage Envoy would like to speak with him. Mage Envoy later warns Mage Kessler that delving two deep in to the nature of magic may put Mage Kessler in danger, that the Collegia and the world at large might resent mages with greater control of magic. Mage Kessler is unsure how to take the advice, and instead offers to speak of it more over a cup of mateh.
