After three days of climbing, the expedition from Dianus finally reaches the Gash of Fenris. Geyser fields and earth tremors show that the mountain is a mildly active volcano, which doesn't reassure anyone except for Tasha, who sees it as a symbol for Abaddon.

The locals of the Sky Clan greet them all as saviors, and bring them into the central fortress that is Herriot Hall, where the elderly Queen Herriot welcomes them and explains about the demon that plagues them.
