Apothecary Aaron Lightfoot, at Anisa Snowshoe's invitation, has a meal with the Snowshoe family over at their inn, while things are light. Mrs. Snowshoe makes it fairly obvious that she's looking at Aaron as a prospective son-in-law, though Anisa makes it clear that he's "just a friend". However, when she lets slip that she's been moving "some things" over to his house, the first inclination of her parents is to assume that she's planning on moving in with him (not quite what they had in mind), but she confesses about giving away the "dream pendant" to the College Esoterica and getting, in exchange, a bunch of gymnasium equipment. Anisa's parents don't totally approve, but this is still a fair sight better than what they were supposing before that point.
