Anisa hides out in Wanda's cabin, until she observes that the book is safely thrown overboard. Later, the ship finally lands in Half Valley, and the passengers slowly disembark, their belongings being searched as they leave. Baleforte', the Naga whose book was stolen, seems to be particularly surprised by a couple of artifacts in Anisa's belongings – the ones that had been sent to her, and which prompted this journey in the first place. Anisa gets off the ship, and is reunited with her older brother Gibson – who is not only quite surprised to see her, but even more so when he learns that they will have to fetch their brother, Royce, out of a crate before it's opened by the mother of Gibson's friend, Spencer.
