Taking Nene and Bebe to Isolde, Gunther learns that they're about to perform their first ritual as Shrine Maidens: appeasing the 'dragon' of the Mint River! This is the first he's heard of such a ritual, and decides that he has to be there to defeat the dragon.

Isolde tells him 'no' in no uncertain terms, and explains that the ritual is only for females, and that his presence would cause trouble. Undeterred, the Kadie follows at a safe distance until the witch and maidens reach a rock-circled pool all the way beyond the reservoir, where the Mint River still runs wild.

They women change into ceremonial white shifts, which causes mixed feelings in Gunther. Then Isolde produces an ivory, phallic looking dragon flute and begins to play. From his vantage high up in a tree, Gunther can see the water in the pool change, until it looks like a serpent made of water with a felinesque dragon's head.

The otter girls immediately start to play with it; tumbling and riding and having too much fun for Gunther's taste, when he isn't allowed to join in! This changes when the dragon gets a whiff of the otters' estrus-scent that still clings to Gunther, and goes chasing after him – and dragging the river, the twins and Isolde along in its watery coils.

Gunther tries to escape, but is cut off and swallowed up by the dragon – which then breaks the spell and turns it all back into water, leaving the Kadie with a swollen, throbbing problem. Isolde claims that he just absorbed the fertile energy that was meant for the farm fields, and now has to go see Parsley before he explodes – and that she and the twins will have to start all over from the beginning now.

Disgruntled, Gunther heads back to the dam, and is in considerable discomfort when Parsley encounters him. She grasps what's happened, and uses a breathable sedative to knock the Kadie out. When he comes too, he's still sore but it isn't for bad, and Parsley is cleaning up.
