Olivia goes to the dam to find Gunther, and asks him if he has someplace they can talk without being overheard. The kadie agrees to take Olivia to his secret lab, and after getting her lost in the woods makes her put on a blindfold for the rest of the journey.

Once in the underground lair, the skeek explains about the necromancer and why he's here, and the role Zahn plays in his plans. While Amy assumes the fiend will only have a few minions handy, Olivia wants to prepare for the worst. Gunther shows her his repeating crossbow and she asks how many he can make.

On the way back to the dam, they are stopped by a mysterious figure in black…
