At a nightclub where Brishen is posing as a singer, Bambridge arrives and catches her attention. Brishen finishes her number, then comes out in a change of costume to talk with the Shiga. Bambridge reveals that he has dug up some information on Brishen's hated cousin, Secretary of State Bryanna Kara. It would seem that Bambridge has some dirt on Bryanna that could serve as a "magic bullet" to get her out of the picture … PERMANENTLY … if it were leaked to the right person. Bambridge is eager to know what Brishen will do with this information, but she does not let him know, silently making her own plans.
