Zoltan and Kensington, accompanied by Wynona and Born-in-Shame, return to the Shiny Shoppe in Rephidim, surprising everyone. Enos is quite delighted to see his adoptive father return, and enthusiastically greats his "Pa-PAPA", Herbir … though Herbir at first evidences alarm and conflicting emotions upon receiving the spotted cub.

Pouncer tries to update Zoltan on the events that have transpired, and Moon-Brow (aka "Star") is present as well … having been sent by Third-Vision to help keep an eye on the cubs in Zoltan's absence. (And, she's been teaching Pouncer gardening, as part of a project she's been working on, for the new, improved, expanded Shiny Shoppe.)

When Zoltan asks Pouncer where Nicodemus is, Pouncer indicates that he's "up there". Zoltan misconstrues this as meaning that Nicodemus has passed on, but Moon-Brow catches on and corrects the mistake. Nicodemus is actually up on the roof, where the group finds him relaxing. Herbir is introduced to Nicodemus, and plans are made to throw a big party at the Shiny Shoppe. (Kensington offers to go visit Jakka to see if some shiny mugs can be gotten … and to patch up misunderstandings after a "yiffle incident" during his last visit there.)
