Natasha casts a ritual that lets her, Olivia and Amy get a glimpse of the spirit world, and it's odd nature. They walk to town, unseen by normal eyes and getting a very unusual look at people (and themselves).

In the town square, they get a glimpse of the past, when the townspeople dealt harshly with just-turned-vampire Lord Snapfish and his harem. They try to see what's going to happen at Inaya's thank-you ceremony but only manage to glimpse a flash of metal that may or may not be a weapon aimed at Amelia.

When focusing on Clover Chalk, the get a vision of her preaching to her flock but looking gaunt and emaciated. A condition Natasha describes as being a servant of a vampire: a ghoul.

They then take a look inside Inaya's cabin, where the khatta is pacing and complaining about the cultural wrongness of female warriors and colorblind mice. They have to flee as the spell begins to wear off, letting Inaya catch a flicker of their presence and thinking she'd seen her sister's ghost.
