Zahnrad enters his workshop to find that someone has used his good design paper to draw… machine designs. Badly. He eventually discovers a nearly passed and totally incoherent Clover, wearing a bathrobe and bandages over her head. From her babbling, Zahn realizes she's got a head full of mechanical information that she's trying to get out so that she can think straight again.

Zahn carries her back to the castle, where Dr. Pike and Igor strap her into bed and decide to sedate her until something can be done. Zahn learns about Madame Natasha and Qing's spell to get inside Bravil's head, so decides to talk to the gypsies later. First, though, he wants to get Amelia and go ask Buffy some questions, and then compare some of the machines in the underground workshop to those in the drawings.
