Leeta visits the Shiny Shoppe, bearing the Savanite fur coat she obtained from Rosebud during the assassination attempt on Moffat. She presents it to Zoltan and Jezebel and asks that Jezebel perform a ceremony to give the unknown slave a proper funeral. Zoltan carries the two sisters to a faraway clearing in the countryside, passing over the Temple and briefly noting some action going on there. In the clearing, Leeta is distraught over Jezebel's apparent lack of feeling … and Jezebel at last goes to her to comfort her as a sister. Many tears later, Zoltan leaves to investigate what is happening at the Temple, leaving Jezebel and Leeta to perform a simple dance about a pyre which "Coat" is placed upon, as they bid the unnamed slave on to the Procession. Zoltan returns with news that someone at the Temple has been attacked, perhaps killed, and Leeta fears for Tahir's life. She leaves with Zoltan to find out just what has happened
