Alptraum checks on the condition of the crystal heart, which seems to be cleaning up reasonably well. He also gets a chance to experiment reshaping living creatures … namely one of Twig's lizards.

He also kens Doctor Twig and Igorina at their request! Both of them find the experience rather … enlightening.

The patterns that he learns turn out to be useful as Alptraum experiments with a lizard. He makes a Teeny-Reeny, then one with disturbing-looking wings, then into Mave, then back to Teeny-Reeny again.
