After the others are asleep, Tasha heads to the Underside to talk with her mother and Captain Eyeshine about her recent adventures. Things look grim when she arrives to find the two parental figures absent, a situation that is confirmed when 'Uncle Rufio' tells Tasha they're in the back talking about her. After getting some liquid courage, she heads in to the back room to confront the people who raised her. An emotional talk ensues, but in the end, Desdi agrees to let Tasha go. The young Vartan offers to spend one last night in the bar, for old times sake.
