Alptraum visits his gypsy parents and catch up on current events. He also informs them that they will get to meet Rose soon! So, Alptraum's mother tries to determine more about the mysterious Rose but she has little luck. Alptraum gets them to agree to meeting at a restaurant, neutral ground, and have a nice meal together.

Alptraum returns home and once there, goes to see Rosalind in her office. They discuss the matter of dinner and the curiosity of his parents and come to an agreement that her job should remain as vague as possible. Alptraum then tells her about his experience with being a hog … and also gets her permission to practice on the transformed prisoners.
