In the Bazaar, at Francisco's "Guy Fox" doll booth, the Kitsune is trying to sell toy versions of himself, while dealing with an uncomfortable condition that has won him dubious popularity from a cluster of cubs and kits. A foppish Fox shows up, and has a trick played on him by the gambler, Galand, and then shares his latest ideas on how to get even with Eustace do Varr with Francisco. Buran, the winged Khatta Technopriest, falls ill in the Bazaar, and Galand rushes to her aid, summoning help from the Guards.
