Amy runs in to Parsley on the way to the Kettenrad compound, and the Lapi hears Zahn's mother Elsa calling for Amy, so they go to meet up with the woman. Elsa talks to Amelia about building her own cabin and to Amy it sounds a bit like another test, since she's supposed to build it herself and have it reflect her personality.
After learning that she can look at the plans in the archives and other cabins for inspiration, Amy asks if she can see Elsa's own cabin, since Elsa is also originally from outside of the clan. Elsa agrees and gives Amy a key and directions, then asks to speak with Parsley for a bit.
Parsley wonders if Elsa wants to exchange recipes, but the mother is more concerned with Parsley spending a lot of time with Zahn mainly because it's Parsley's job to see to the 'at risk' individuals in town. Parsley assures her it's not because of that (now that Zahn has Amy), and explains about the odd physical attraction she and Zahn and Clover have as a result of Zahn's having saved Clover's life.
Meeting with Amy, the two go on to Elsa's cabin. The woman's room is tidy, cozy and full of paintings of her children and family including an unfinished painting of Amelia. There aren't any traps or secret compartments, but there's a fancy vanity with a mirror and a collection of grooming combs.
On the way out, Amy catches a glimpse of herself in the mirror, and sees one of her eyes going red and red claw-marks across her face. She panics, but Parsley says she doesn't see anything on Amy's face. After the Lapi leaves, Amy notices Stephan on the bed, and goes to talk to him. He thinks the marks are neat, and Amy explains that they're her 'real' spirit showing through, since she let it out during Natasha's test of her magic potential.
She also learns that Stephan can touch her where the marks show, and that she can touch him back with them.
