After frolicking in the water for some time, Olivia tries to get out while Djivan tries to pull her back in. This ends up in a tug of war with the Skeek trying to pull Djivan out… and then something else joins in, grabbing Djivan's tail and tickling Olivia's foot.

They both get out as quick as they can, and three worm-things rise up out of the water to look at them with single eyes at their tips. Djivan makes all sorts of gestures at them, and they respond by dancing around and waving feathery gills at him, as if it were a mating dance.

Retreating to the top of the tower, they're soon surrounded by curious Creens. The flying snakes can't get past the magical barrier though, and once more they go into mating dances when Djivan teases them. He even tries to face off against the Alpha Creen.

Olivia eventually figures out the Creens are attracted to her jewelry, so stashes it away and decides it's time to eat. Djivan goes through an elaborate dance routine while he sets out the food and wine, and of course Creens come back and sing to try and get some food. Djivan shoos them away, and he and Olivia get into a minor tickle-tussle. The big alpha Creen figures out how to fly in through the amphitheater and hall and up the tower, and starts picking off the fragments of food until Djivan shoos it away as well.

Tired out, they try to get some sleep. The Gnarly Woods can be noisy though, with something big moving around on the forest floor that wakes up Olivia. And then around midnight, the thumping begins and the sound of stone moving gets her fully awake. Djivan listens over the shaft, and hears things scurrying around for a bit. Eventually it goes quiet again and they try to sleep.

Olivia wakes up from an odd dream, and finds a 'baby' troll playing with her hair! Djivan catches it and the get a good look at the tiny monster, and Olivia even gives it some fish jerky. They hear the stone moving again, and the little troll throws itself down the 300-foot shaft… and then gets back up with a crackle of bones fitting back into place.

By morning, the pair are a bit worn out, and Amelia is surprised by what they have to say when she comes to get them.
