[Actual roleplay date: April 17, 1999]

The day after his run-in with Shadowspite, Galand is awaiting his summons to meet a "friend" … and gets an "invitation" to come to the Temple a bit early on the schedule. He goes along, and is ushered into a secret meeting with the Captain-Astromancer himself, Tahir Archelaus. Tahir questions Galand about his intentions toward his brother, Rhys, and Galand proposes theories about just why Shadowspite might be trying to send a "message" through the scry-dice "fortunes" from the night previous.

When Galand is allowed to return to his apartment, he finds an obsidian dagger stabbed into the door, holding a velvet bag in place. When he removes the dagger, the bag falls apart, scattering black scry-dice on the floor. Every single one of them comes up with the rune for Death.
