After falling asleep in the Cabin of Doom, Tulani, Alptraum and Arkold find themselves in a fancy apartment with a view onto a strange world, along with Kaira. The dragon explains that the magic of the Disenchanted Forest allowed her to set up the meeting.

Alptraum is suspicious, wondering what sort of bad news would accompany the luxury. Kaira explains that if they don't reach their destination by Unity Day, they may have to wait until Midsummer's Day before Dunky will wake up again. This gives them fifteen days or so to find the Tomb.

They discuss sorcerer Dack's likely holiday deadline as well, which may be the Apex of Dagh nearly half a year away, but they don't think he's likely to wait that long.
