Zahnrad carries the unconscious, slimed and bruised Clover Chalk to Dr. Pike's guest room, where Bravil is still recovering in the second bed. Bravil is awake and lucid, and chats with Amelia a bit, alluding to things that occurred in the dream-like ritual that confuse Zahn.

Dr. Pike arrives and starts examining Clover, finding nothing terribly wrong aside from the scratches on her limbs… and the scarring on her scalp. She determines that the Lapi's hair was actually shaved off, rather than yanked out.

Rey pops in to distract Dr. Pike, Zahn learns a bit about the founding of Stonebarrow, and Bravil discovers the wonders of Sylvanian sausage ala Igor. There is also talk of the dinner party that Erik is throwing soon, to which Zahn has been invited.
