At the only Inn in Village Kurai the settlement founded by Savanites in Blackshire the trio ask around for the girl who supposedly has the final piece to the map key, and Alptraum also learns that his family likely passed through just 20 days before, heading north.
Finding the girl, Tulani and Arkold try to trade with her for the puzzle piece, with Arkold finally giving the child his metal Kampfzengruppe fighting knife (which also gets them free room and board from the innkeeper).
Retiring to an upstairs room, they have dinner (except for Alptraum, who claims allergies that require him to prepare his own meals). Finally, they assemble the map key into a pointer and find the proper place for it on the map.
Alptraum begins to get upset when the symbol for Necropolis shows up on the map, and Arkold and Tulani explain that the map shows the location of the Necromancer King's tomb, and their reasons for looking for it. Alptraum doesn't seem to think it wise, despite mention of the Light of Nala, until the pointer gets nudged out of the way and reveals another symbol next to the first the symbol of Rinala, the Goddess of Life.
Tulani removes the pointer, and a route appears hilighted on the map, leading from Blackshire up towards Draco County and into the eastern foothills. It also passes through the chapel Alptraum stayed in previously, where he met the Yodhsunala who took him to Babel.
Alptraum tells about his odd origins, and how he thinks the tomb may now hold some sort of clues about his nature (although he doesn't mention the vampire part). Arkold comes clean about his own past as well, and the three decide to continue on together while they share a common goal.
