Amelia visits Lady Inaya's cottage, and chats with the tigers a bit before Olivia arrives with the clothes she's made for Kalila, the khatta girl. There's some talk about Lord Erik visiting the Lady later to discuss alternatives to her seeing everyone she wants to at the dam. Miranda arrives as well to pick up Kalila, and Lady Inaya starts asking questions about Erik, apparently thinking he'll be some dashing, heroic knight.

Olivia gives Inaya the clothing, and the khatta pays the skeek with a copper shekel instead of whatever Olivia's more modest price was. Miranda discusses the sorts of things to do with Kalila (who is on a slight rampage about toads and boys) before they leave.

On the way out, Olivia and Miranda spot something suspicious, and Olivia goes to chase away a spying Gunther.
