Elite Guards take Leeta to Inquisitrix Turtle, in hopes of hiding the cheetah until things can be sorted out. Tahir, candidate to the position of Captain-Astromancer, arrives, and has other plans – He takes responsibility for Leeta as his own. In Turtle's office, Leeta is questioned yet again for her version of events – and when she leaves, she asks the Inquisitrix to help the Champion of Roses. After everyone has left, Neekto comes in with a letter for Turtle – from Inquisitor Melchizedek.
