After spending the night at Roadhouse Elderath, the travellers begin the last leg of their journey to the Sylvanian capitol, Justininople. Arkold, Tulani, Dr. Twig and Muffy are the only passengers for the coach, and the ride is fairly uneventful.

Once they arrive at the carriage station, Muffy and Twig say their farewells before heading off on their seperate ways. Tulani checks the local map and finds the location of the Mages Guild, which she brings Arkold to.

After some haggling with the Guild secretary, the pair is led to a room in the buildings former dungeon, where they are met by Chaos Mage Fenter. Fenter agrees to try and remove the curse from Arkold's canteen, and makes a deal for a second ritual to determine if their other magical objects are also cursed.

Tulani runs some errands while the ritual progresses, and returns just after Fenter successfully transfers the curse from the canteen to a rock, letting Arkold feel cool for the first time since leaving Abu Dhabi.

Fenter goes on to start a new ritual to test the Naga-head pendant and Arkold's egg-shaped balm snifter for malevolent spells – and the snifter hatches a tiny Chiga spirit!
