Magically transported into the middle of a battlefield on the edge of Chronotopia, Buran is caught between the defending warriors of this land, and the invading Titanians. She sees a young Cervani standard-bearer who is knocked down during a charge, and she moves in to try to fly him away before a Titanian war machine can run him over. However, she and the Cervani are hit by a quick-hardening goop sprayed by the machine, then picked up by a wooden claw … and carried away to who-knows-where!
