Zahn continues digging around under Olivia's floor, once the ghost-Korv has been dealt with. Gunther teases Amy by smiling at her, and manages to evade her reverse psychology attempt to get him to talk about what the otters wanted from him.

The digging means dirt, which Olivia hauls out in a bucket to dump over by her aunt's vegetable garden. As Amelia predicted, she runs into Emmett Oggton, who wants to know what's going on. She agrees to tell him if he'll tell her what's up with Gunther.

Emmett explains about how the otters want Gunther to entice a woman from Rephidim down to Stonebarrow to explain some drawings they found – probably with some sort of 'love letter' as Emmett puts it.

Liliana also arrives to find out what's going on for Natasha, and Emmett tells her Olivia is having a hot-tub installed. Olivia tells them about the old town plans that showed possible troll tunnels under her room, and why they want to investigate them. This quells Emmett's interest due to some sort of agreement with Amelia about leaving tunnels for her to deal with.

While the bat and otter make plans to entertain one another, Olivia heads back to her cabin and overhears Zahn mention finding a trap door right under where her bed would normally be.
