Piper continues his work with Mapmaker Jojo, exploring the Rephidim sewer system. He comes across an area that reminds him of where he first found Kassie, and discovers a pile of fish remains being fed upon by some vermites reluctant to leave it. He accidentally discovers that kicking against one wall reveals a hollow thumping noise, suggesting that it is not quite as solid as it appears. When he brings Jojo over to investigate, the mapmaker concludes it must have been sealed off some three hundred years ago.
