In the Shiny Shoppe, some mysterious 'customers' come asking about the items that Loosetongue the Lightfingered tried to sell earlier, belonging to a now-deceased "Jupani" Exile. Once satisfied that the Kavi showed off the items here, they proceed to attack. Zoltan shows off his combat prowess, while Nicodemus escapes with Enos. Jezebel uses a spell to cover the store with a sense-numbing effect, but it doesn't seem to fully work on Zoltan. Zoltan uses this opportunity to deal with the attackers, then goes after Nicodemus – who he finds collapsed, victim of poisoning from a Kavi's dagger. The leader, unfortunately, is dead, having poisoned himself, and is not available for questioning. However, when Zoltan returns to the Shoppe – to find Star and Jezebel and any hint of the spell-casting gone – he is presented with a well- worn journal belonging to the "Jupani" Exile. Zoltan is hit with some recollections of his visions on Paradys … and knows what the Eeee agents are looking for…
