Shadra takes Ben to the Bazaar as she looks for Temmis, a trader in cosmetics; a mysterious Savanite slave leads her away, as she entrusts Ben to Envoy's care. A small blue vulpine continues to reappear as a sailor, Tuzan, shows up and purchases salsa from a Kavi, and Ben samples some of this salsa, thereupon contracting an immediate need for water; this leads to a close-up encounter of the foxy kind. Fortunately Ben survives and Shadra returns with the slave, promising that Temmis will be met at the ship
