Jonas has taken Buran aside, and asks if she is the avatar of the Goddess Felis. The Sphinx doesn't fully understand the question, and her answer fails to clear up Jonas' misconceptions.
Lord Ruthven arrives and questions everyone about the recent happenings, and Gergesene's delayed departure. He grows increasingly frustrated at the insults and resistance to his suggestions. When his direct orders are ignored or interupted, he decides to handle everything personally, and directs his guards to send the necessary support to the keep, and notification elsewhere. Gergesene has left at this stage, and an argument ensues; Jonas destroys his commissar commission, in response, Ruthven banishes him and then leaves for Einheimische Keep #1.
Jonas then takes Buran hostage, and threatens to snap her neck if the guards attempt to carry out the banishment.
