After the attack, the entire Wingnut clan is out inspecting damage and checking the territory, while Amelia stays locked in the dining room. After a few hours, Dierdra arrives and lets Amy know she's not a suspect, and then asks for her help in finding the person behind the attack. Amelia agrees.

The kadie girls sleeps in until noon, when a haggard-looking Elsa wakes her up to let her know Zahn is still alive and kept someplace safe, and that the healers have been sent for. Amy tells her about Stephen's spirit, which upsets Elsa quite a bit. The older woman shows Amy the music box Stephen mentioned, but says it's broken. Or it is until Amy winds it up, and it starts working again.

Her next stop is the gypsy village, where she talks again with Natasha, and brings up the notion that the attacks are really meant to discredit the gypsies. She also asks about past attacks, and Natasha gets upset and says she'll get her a list of the towns where she had visions before.

Amy checks on Bravil, the giant Jupani gypsy next. She asks how he slept, and if can track scents after a storm. She learns a little more about Natasha's past, and also that sometimes Bravil's stew tastes funny and gives him nightmares. She takes some of the stew to be tested, and arranges for the Tavern to bring dinner to Bravil and Natasha that night.
