Eve has set up Alysin's Opera House to serve as an arena, with Gnarr the Titanian butler and Count Vlad on the stage to duke it out as part of the Emperor's Challenge. Jynx is offered a better view of the stage by Gnarr's kids, but the chair he sits in proves to be a catapult that sends him flying through the air, only to be caught on the other side and flung back. At last, he manages to break out of this cycle, but only by crashing through a plaster wall and ending up in a dressing room. He gets out in time to learn that Vlad and Gnarr have knocked each other out, and thus have both been disqualified from the Emperor's Challenge.
