For the first time, Alptraum is the one to request an audience with the Shadow Dragon, Melusine. He's nervous about it, but the dragon doesn't seem to be put out by the visit. The Eeee explains his exposure to the Yodhgorphat's magic, and asks if Melusine can tell him if he's been infected or anything.

Melusine kens Alptraum, which takes longer than usual and leaves Alptraum feeling odd. The reason for the oddness is that Melusine removed parts that she sensed had suffered a bit of trauma to better examine them. Given the parts in question were very dear and essential to Alptraum, the Eeee was a bit disturbed by it.

Eventually, Melusine reattached everything and suggested Alptraum be examined by Phlagaea or Mave, who specialize in such things, since she herself could not detect any foreign contamination.

Shaken, Alptraum asks Melusine a few questions about how she sees things (which is very different than how someone with eyes or ears would) and seems to get the impression that Alptraum is flirting with her.
