K'ale, along with Aaron, Sasta and Kensington shows up at the Glutton where Mira and Lochinvar are getting her ready to sail. The brown khatta captain gives a tour, showing off the staterooms, armaments, and cargo hold. Aaron is nervous at the presence of some Savanites on board, Sasta is bruised, and Kensington nursing a hangover. Once the ship has been seen, the upcoming dangers are discussed. Sasta suggests getting some stronger armaments, and says she will look into it. Mira sees everyone off, and goes back to driving her crew hard so the ship will be ready.
