Anisa intercepts a crate meant for Aaron, while he's off taking a bath, and, curiosity getting the best of her, opens it up with Spring-Meadow, to find a letter from Aaron's family inside, as well as some oversized pieces of Lapi armor. Aaron walks in on them while they're examining the contents of the crate, and explains that his family is from Amazonia, and that his mother will be compelled to take up this armor again, because she has no suitable daughters to pass the armor on to … unless, that is, she can't find the armor, and so therefore Aaron and his brothers have been trading off the armor, hiding it from her.
The letter also mentions a family reunion on New Year's Day, which Aaron plans to go to. Anisa expresses an interest in going along, but this makes Aaron uncomfortable, as Amazonia has a number of traditions that would seem immodest to a Rephidim mindset. He leaves it to Spring-Meadow to explain, but Anisa is still not dissuaded.
