In Fleaufille, a major city in Gallis, the Marquis takes Turtle on a tour of the city, and stops along a market street so that the Inquisitrix can do some shopping. She peruses some dresses in Madame Geordeau's shop, and then tries on a necklace made of metal from a "Sword" that fell from the sky. The metal begins to burn at Turtle's neck, and Neekto, her Korv assistant, breaks the necklace while removing it from her neck. Turtle is left with a stinging reminder of the incident
