The Demon Knight continues to lead Jonas through the Chronotopian countryside. He questions the bear about his homeland, and explains some more about Sinai, Bosch, the Chronotopians and their beliefs. He leaves Jonas on the outskirts of Blitzheim, with a talisman, and instructions to wait – something significant will happen.
Very soon afterwards, the carriage carrying Gergesene, Jael and the kattha assassin roars by, and stops. Gergesene informs Jonas he has seen the Bear in a vision, and he is called to destiny. They continue on to Einheimische Keep #1, the Landsknecht stronghold of Blitzheim. Fadyr rejoins them, and the kattha is taken to the infirmary for questioning
The kattha reveals his name, Feskh, and that he works for Baron Phelan. He also reveals his orders were to protect Jael, and seems disturbed by Gergesene, and Ruthven's name. He passes out before any more useful information is learned, and everyone retires to plan a way to keep Jael hidden and safe
