With her marriage ended, her once husband-to-be dead and disgraced, and herself honored, Umeko decides it is time to come clean to her father. Lord Tsuguri is as stern looking as ever, but it soon becomes apparently Umeko has earned his respect rather than his ire. He demands Umeko return her stolen swords, in returning providing her his own exquisite blades: the Summer Tempest. Umeko is deeply moved by the gesture, hugging her father. The two then sit down to have tea and discuss what all has happened in the last few weeks.
