My dearest Sebazhan,

By now, Nene should be back in your care. I'm sorry for cutting her vacation with me so short, but circumstances have forced me to do so. I don't know what the situation here in the Savan truly is… but I sense that it is no place for a child.

There is no gentle way of putting it… Queen Jade-Eyes is being manipulated somehow by the Twelve and by an entity that claims to be the Star itself. I asked her to ask this supposed 'star' a question on my behalf, and instead of the comforting words I expected to hear, I was given a veiled threat. When I asked the Queen if she had tested this thing like the book of the Star asks us to, she panicked and sent me out of the city. I am unsure if I will be made welcome there again, but I dearly hope to return. Return or no, I will undoubtedly not be allowed to have an audience with the Priest-Queen again, and may have risked making enemies amongst the Twelve themselves.

This 'star' is coming, and I now know what it is. No god … no angel … no savior … but flesh and blood men who are the ancestors of the Savanites here on Sinai. A chamber that was hidden in the city had a very detailed history of Sinai's distant past and I've no reason to think that the writings may be false, as insane as they sound. I have transcribed the words as best as I can and have sent a copy of them to you to discern for yourself.

I cannot sit idle while these people come. If they truly do bring a false religion, then I must put my hand in to spread the word of the true Star and the news of who these people truly are. My new companion, Son-of-Thunder, brings me hope. If I can reach one soul, maybe I can touch enough to gather enough of a following to stir the rest of the people here. I also have one advantage that Testament-Blaze does not … I can speak, and therefore my words can touch those who don't understand sign.

What this means is that I will be remaining in Xenea for a time. I miss you terribly and I wish you could be here with me, but I cannot bring myself to leave the legacy that Third-Vision worked so hard to build. I cannot leave it to be ruined by her sister.

There is one final thing. In the papers I send, there is word of an object known as a Seraph Titan. If worse comes to worst, I will try to bring this item out to fight for the Star. Third-Vision's ring still rests on my finger. It may be the key to the vault that stores it, and if Moon-Brow can smuggle me back into the chamber, I intend to fetch it … but only as a last resort. The city is still in ruins and I am sure that it would be possible for Moon-Brow to sneak me back in there if I find that I am banished from the city. If that is impossible, I will leave my ring in Moon-Brow's hands along with the secret of the Titan so that she can either fetch it herself or give it to someone that she trusts who can.
