Liliana's Wagon
Colorful, lacy, and feminine would be the best way to describe Liliana's wagon. Swathes of multicolored translucent fabric hang from the ceiling. At the far end is both a ceiling perch as well as a pile of pillows for lounging. Along the walls are a few shallow cabinets that probably contain her various bits of jewelry and trinkets she's collected. A trunk on one side contains her clothing what little she has, anyway.
Well, now you've done it, Morgan. You had a hot date and now she's out cold on the floor. After Liliana had collapsed, she went so still its hard to tell if she's even breathing. Hopefully no one outside heard anything. This would be a bit awkward to explain…
It's a bit awkward to be a part of, too, and Morgan still hasn't determined how to explain it to himself. Luckily he's a witch, and this sort of thing gets heaped in his lap about once every few weeks, so he lets his training kick in and checks Lily for signs of life, medical problems, and any indicators that moving her may be bad. The, "Oh no, oh my," panicked mantra is extra.
She's breathing … very slowly. Nothing seems to be wrong with her, really. No obvious signs of injury. She's just … limp. And starting to drool a bit.
Morgan dabs the drool away with a nearby scarf out of habit. "Okay, get a hold of yourself Morgan, this isn't new, you've dealt with this before, eeee, eee-um," he chitters a bit, tail lashing, then grabs his muzzle and calms a bit, "eem, but it wasn't ever my girlfriend! Okay, she's okay. That's good. Unconscious … drool," dab, dab " … maybe dehydration, exhaustion, or … hm." He carefully lays her on her back and elevates her legs a bit.
And gets an interesting view in the process. There's something strange as he elevates her legs though. Her feet feel funny; not quite like he's been used to them feeling.
The squirrel tries not to blush. Only Liliana does that to him. "That's odd," he tells himself, remarking on the obvious out of nervousness. Curiously he peers at the bat's feet, running a finger down them testingly.
It seems almost imperceptible at first, but her toes are slowly pulling closer together and actually shrinking some. Even her sharp toe talons are changing, becoming shorter, broader. And then Morgan basically finds himself holding … a hoof. A small, cloven hoof.
"Uh," deduces Morgan. Apparently this wasn't in his training so far. He holds the hoof with a perplexed expression, looking a little lame about it.
And a very nice hoof it is, too. The bat attached to said hoof groans softly and mutters, "Ow, m'head. Vou didn't tell me vou drink dat much to get me drunk dat vay. An, vou let me bonk my head, even, how could vou?"
Morgan tries to hide the hooves behind his tail. "Well, you see, and well, then it was, of course but … " he non-explains nervously.
Liliana sits up and wobbles. She reaches up and rubs her head. "An, I got a bump, too," she grumbles, rubbing her hand over … a small horn. Liliana has two small horns sticking out of her forehead. She blinks repeatedly and looks right at Morgan. Uh, since when has Liliana had black cat-slit pupils? And for that matter, when did she get, uhm, a bit more endowed? She definitely has a bit more curve to her shape than before.
Morgan gapes. That's about all he can manage at this point. That and, "Waaah?"
"Dat all vou can say to me? Vou get me drunk, drop me on my head, and then just go 'waaah'?" Lili grumbles. "Hmph!" She then sticks out her tongue. Her now very forked tongue.
The squirrel makes a sort of whimper noise, then tries to hide himself behind his tail, as well. "Lily," he begins, finding it easier to explain things from behind his tail, "there's something very odd about you!"
Liliana makes the usual hand-eye rolling motion (and rolls her eyes visibly!). "Vou jus' now figured dat out? I though vou liked me cuz I was odd. An' wait, vou are de one actin' weird, not me," she says.
As a demonstration Morgan lifts one of Lily's legs over his tail so her foot is showing. He wiggles it a bit. "You didn't tell me how really odd you are," he says, wiggling the foot some more.
"I tol' vou everyt'ing," Liliana insists and crosses her arms, looking hurt. "Righ' down to how my parents conceived me. Wha more could I tell vou… " And at that, Liliana's voice trails off. She's starting at her own foot, er, hoof. She sits there quietly, then screams, "What de hell did vou DO TO ME?"
Morgan's tail poofs out at the scream, pitched as part of it is several levels above his hearing. It makes his bones rattle. "ME!" And because he really isn't sure how to answer that, he repeats, "ME!" again, and two more times besides.
Liliana now seems to notice some of the changes to her body and frantically starts checking herself over. She pushes herself up onto those hooves and wobbles there. And it's at that point Morgan gets a view of a thin, spade tipped tail, too. "What did vou do?" she says repeatedly, voice going up in pitch.
"Eek, don't eat me!" is Morgan's first choice of response as he stumbles backwards and hides behind his tail. He decides, however, this probably won't help things and certainly isn't "taking charge of the situation" as his mother would want him to do. Instead he offers, "I didn't do anything I don't know what this is about! This isn't your doi- … no of course it isn't, you wouldn't be so mad. So, um, no one did anything and we should calm down! CALM!"
Liliana stumbles backward and into the wall with a thud, rocking the wagon. Her arms curl around her body and she actually whimpers. "Wha wrong wit' me?" she says weakly. "Why do I look like dis?"
"I … I don't know. Come on, now, come here and I'll … do something. I'm a witch after all. I'm sure I can think of something!" Morgan lets his tail drop and scoots across the floor to the edge of the bed, patting it. "Everything will be fine, I'm sure."
Liliana pushes herself off the wall with her wings and walks haltingly (as she's having issues with hooves), over to the bed. The former Eeee then sits down heavily on the bed, then picks up the tail. "I have a tail," she says flatly. "A tail."
"It's a very unusual tail, but very nice," Morgan says automatically. He reaches over to take her tail and peers at it with a professional air. "Spade shaped. I haven't seen a tail like this before on any common races, or any animal I can think of. Hm. Can you feel it?"
Liliana shifts a bit. "Yea, it hurt because I'm sittin on it," she grumbles, then moves so she isn't. she's then stares crosseyed at her own tongue. "My tonguhtpth, splitht," she mumbles.
Morgan reaches over and takes hold of the tongue too. "Hm. Serpentine. Very strange. Naga don't see them out this way very often Creens, multiple animals usually reptiles but odd on, um, well, you. But nice!" He lets go. "What else is different? The hooves, too. Horns. Eyes. Anything else?"
"'ow am I supposed to know?" Liliana grumbles, then rolls her eyes again, still doing the gesture too. "Well, except fer dese," she comments and shoves her slightly larger chest towards Morgan. "I feel top heavy," she complains.
Morgan takes hold of that too for examination. It makes him blush, then blush harder the more he examines. "Well these are … um … unmistakable to … women … yes … mmm … probably of the best, er, I mean least of your problems."
Liliana smirks and pushes Morgan's hands away. "Vou sure vou didn't do anything?" she asks and peers at him. "Vou seem to like dis a bit too much."
"Well it's not so bad from where I sit," says Morgan honestly, looking up, "but it is extremely odd and very troubling for you, so it's troubling to me." He leans forward, whispering, "This sort of thing is more common with the weres, and well, weres aren't very well thought of in these parts. But I don't think you're exactly were. What you are, I, well, I'm not sure yet. Maybe we should think about what we were doing?"
"Wha we were doin' was I bit vou. I bit several people before. Dis never happen den," Lili points out.
"Well what's so special about me? I'm a witch, and … " Morgan's eyebrows shoot up, " … well it's probably nothing."
Lili reaches over and grabs the collar of Morgan's robe and pulls him nose to nose with her. "It nothin' what?" she hisses.
"Um, well, I … Well you won't tell anyone, right? Normally I'd never but … Well this is an emergency," the squirrel man mumbles somewhat nasally.
"Who I gonna tell before dey pitchfork me?" Lili points out.
Morgan nods, rubbing noses, "Good point." He shifts a little close, "Put your hand between my legs."
"Is dis really de time fer dat?" Lili asks, eyebrow arched. Still, she does just that.
"What? Oh, wait, NO! That's not what … oh … You'll see. Now, don't scream again. I need to concentrate … this is always very disorienting … Mmmmm." Like a balloon that had suddenly lost all its air Morgan rapidly shrinks and, in fact, turns steadily more purple. He sprouts feathers along his arms, his fur vanishes, and he becomes long and slender until he looks like a small rope with feathers.
Like a Creen, in fact. Very much like a Creen. Morgan the Creen. Or, as Lily knows this Creen, Hemlock, Morgan's familiar. Very familiar, since it would seem Morgan is his own familiar.
Liliana stares. Then she just smirks. "Well, dat explain why Hemlock liked to stay aroun' when I bathed," she comments dryly. "Grea', my boyfriend is a birdbrain," she says, then sticks out her tongue again.
Morgan sticks out his its? tongue too, which is a lot like Lily's new one, just smaller. Then he curls around her arm and looks at her curiously.
"Vell, at least I coul' wear you as decoration," Lili mutters and shakes her head. "It still don' explain vhy I look … freaky."
Morgan makes a winged shrug, then untwines from Lily's arm before flittering to the floor.
In a matter of moments Morgan reverses his transformation, looking quite a bit dazed. "That always unsettles me," he comments, holding his head as he turns it to help him inspect Lily's form. "Yes, you're right, not exactly. I can only guess my blood did something to you, or maybe it's all a coincidence. I'll have to ask my coven if … Wait, no maybe … No, maybe we can find another source of answers."
"Wha'? Vou gonna ask a magic sock o' something?" Liliana asks. And at that, there's a knock at the door. "Lili, dear, I'm coming in," comes a recognized voice. It's Luminitsa, Liliana's mother. Morgan has talked to her briefly a few times since he's been around Lili so much.
Morgan's brows shoot up and his tail bristles. He looks stunned for a moment, mouth open, then says, quite clearly, "Miss Luminitsa, we're a bit busy at the moment." There's no mistaking that sort of emphasis on busy with Lily in the equation.
"Oh, I know it's not that kind of busy. I can hear you both, after all," Luminitsa says outside the door. "I'll only be a moment." And then, the door opens.
Morgan's shocked expression tries to force itself in to a welcoming sort of smile. It gives him a a train-wreck of a grin. "Um, hello!"
Luminitsa walks in carrying a pile of clothing. "I have a few things for the next dance practi… " she says as her eyes go over to Liliana. The Eeee stops and looks at her daughter. "This shouldn't have happened here," she says, sounding horrified and scared at the same time.
"Oh well then you know what this is," says Morgan, sounding equally surprised and horrified, and yet really looking like he wants to be on the ball about this.
Luminitsa drops the clothing and rushes over to kneel by her daughter. "This shouldn't have happened here," she says, as if saying it enough would undo it. "Lili, I'm sorry," she says, sounding on the verge of tears. Lili just looks confused.
"Well I agree," Morgan says, lamely, not quite sure what to say or do. These are feminine and magical problems beyond his education, not something that happens so very often in a small town. That bird-man, now Lily. "Can I help somehow?"
"Yea, it no supposed to happen here," Liliana says, sounding annoyed now. "I no like it either. So what is it!" she hisses at her mother. Luminitsa looks well, shocked, then embarrassed. "Uhm, indiscretions of youth, I'm afraid," she admits.
Morgan makes his way over to Lily and takes her other hand. "I think it's quite exotic, though I understand your concern." He glances at the bat's mother. "You … You expected this would happen sometime then?"
Luminitsa rubs her ears thoughtfully. "Vell, ves. If Lili ever went to Worms. Vou see, Vorms is kind of a place for all forms of lust and pleasure. Lili was conceived vhile her father and I visited dere. Ve vere varned that de child coul' be touched by de place an take form of de creatures dere should she ever go," she explains. "She look, vell, like a succubus, a demon of lust. Sorry, Lili. I hope dis never happen. Dat's vhy I never take vou to Vorms, no even vhen vou old enough. But, vhat trigger de change? It vould take transformation magic, I t'ink.""
"Worms?" Morgan files that away in to the part of his mind labeled: arcane curiosities. "Well, that does explain things." It doesn't exactly explain much at all to him, but seemingly like it does is also part of his training. "Magical, certainly. I was sure of that much. Is it, ah, permanent?"
Luminitsa winces and says, "I don't know. We should ask Natasha. She would probably know."
"No way I gonna stay lookin' like dis," Lili asserts and crosses her arms over her chest. She then proceeds to grumble about obnoxious chest things being in the way.
Morgan tries distinctly hard to NOT look at Lily's chest. "Well, I may be able to help as well. I know something about magic," he offers, reddening.
"Yea' and vou vould try an keep me like dis, I saw vou lookin'!" Lili admonishes Morgan. Luminitsa just shakes her head, "It just a physical change, at least. Vou as vou don' change."
"Well there's something really alluring about how you look. Possibly even magical, it's very arou- distracting." Morgan rubs his eyes a bit, then decides to just leave them closed for the moment. "Do we get Natasha then? We could speak to my mother, but that may, well, complicate our relationship further."
Lili groans and shakes her head. "Vell, ve coul' wait an see if it vears off firs' I guess. An if still like dis tomorrow, go see Natasha. I can' walk much right now, tho, so someone gonna haf to keep an eye on me." Luminitsa laughs and pats Morgan's shoulder, "Soun' like dis one want to be de one to do dat."
"It really is a very unusual look," Morgan half-heartedly offers in defense of himself.
"An let me guess, vou vant to examine it for magical research, righ?" Lili says, smirking fangily.
"Something like that," answers Morgan, who reaches bright red.
Luminitsa shakes her head. "Vou broke de poor boy, Lili," she says and pats her daughter's shoulder. She stands up and adds, "I really sorry ve no tell vou before. Ve hoped it vould never come back to haunt vou. It no fair dat you suffer for t'ings ve did."
Morgan peeks with one eye. "We'll take care of it Lily. Whatever happens, I'll stand by you. No matter what," he tells his girlfriend.
Liliana pokes Morgan with her new tail. "I'd hunt vou down if vou tried to leave," she warns.
Morgan reaches over and tugs Lily's tail. "I'm not leaving!"
Luminitsa says, "Vell, I am." And with that, her mother heads to the door. "Bet vour fur is curly by morning," she comments to Morgan, winks at him, then slips out the door. Liliana turns and look at Morgan. She gives him such a predatory grin, too…
"Oh my," says Morgan, unaware he had started caressing Lily's new tail.
He doesn't have much time to pet said tail and she tackles him over and sits on him. "An now I expect vou to give me a full physical," she says with a wink. "An look for anything else differen'"
"Are you sure you want to turn back," Morgan asks, hoping it'll get him in trouble. He suspects he won't be getting any rest tonight, either.
"Do vou ever vant to sleep again?" Liliana counters and tickles Morgan. "Vou are soooo corrupted. Vou used to be so shy."
"It only makes me more powerful," Morgan teases as he squirms around. "I guess I was right though: you really are a succubus out to corrupt me." He winks. "Want to see how far you can do it?"
