    Liliana's Wagon
Colorful, lacy, and feminine would be the best way to describe Liliana's wagon. Swathes of multicolored translucent fabric hang from the ceiling. At the far end is both a ceiling perch as well as a pile of pillows for lounging. Along the walls are a few shallow cabinets that probably contain her various bits of jewelry and trinkets she's collected. A trunk on one side contains her clothing what little she has, anyway.

The day is growing to a close. Sunlight has begun to fade in the windows. So, of course this is the time Liliana starts becoming the most active. She's currently preening herself in a small mirror, doing touch-ups to her fur dye and actually putting on lipstick. As is normal for her, she's very lightly dressed in translucent silks and a lot of jewelry. Morgan is reclining in the pile of pillows where he's been most of the afternoon … because, well, Liliana made him. She insisted he's the best pillow.

"It occurs to me this community may be falling apart while I lounge here," Morgan remarks languidly in a mock-serious tone. "Not to mention that I think my position as an upstanding member of this community, and role model, is somewhat in question now."

"Oh, vell, if vou vant to go, dere is de door," Liliana purrs and looks over her shoulder. Her eyes are slits of glowing red. "But, I afraid vour morals vill be stayin' vith me." She grins fangily. "An' besides, isn' vour mother takin' care of de town, too?"

Morgan doesn't look like he's going anywhere, nor does he even try and get up. "Yes, I think she is. I'm not sure. Days and nights blend together with you, my narcotic," he murmurs.

Liliana turns and leans against the wall. "Oh, pish, vou make me soun' like some sort of evil seductress," she admonishes playfully. "Vou vouldn't haf gone if vou didn' vant to," she says and then just waggles one of her fingers at him. "An, I sure haven' heard any complaints."

"You are being too hard on me! I know all about narcotics, and I am qualified to say you are a strong one. A stimulant too, definitely stimulating," replies the squirrel. He rolls over on his side and props his head on his hand.

"I suppose it coul' be said vou haf … " Liliana begins, then just grins. "Tsk. Haf vou given any though' to de fact dat I will be leavin' someday? Vhatever vill you do?"

"I intend to attempt a kidnapping, followed by convincing myself it is impossible and immature, because that's what I do, then I'll whine and bemoan my fate and … I haven't figured out what to do past that part," Morgan answers, smiling.

"An dat's where I club vou over de head, stuff vou in a trunk, an take vou vith me," Liliana notes and then shakes her head. She snaps her fingers and says, "Vou know, vou haven't invited me to vour home yet."

Morgan's smile looks a little strained suddenly. "Well," he begins tail twitching, "you see, ah, you do know my mother is the village witch? And you are my gypsy love, and well, it might not go over so very well."

Liliana crosses her arms. "An, vhat? I'm no good enough for vou?" she asks, this time looking actually upset. "I'm too … beneath vou?"

The Kadie sits up and holds out his hands placatingly, "No, no, we're of different customs, you and I, and well, you see, I'm supposed to be respectable and boring. Like a mayor? You're a dancer; you're supposed to be entertaining and fun." His ears wilt a little. "You're not beneath me at all. I just … I don't know, it's complicated."

Liliana taps her footclaws. "Or, are vou makin' it complicated because vou are just nervous. Vhat is de worst dat kin happen?" she asks. "Or mebbe vou afraid I ask vour mother to play, eh?" she adds suddenly, then grins.

Morgan's expression suddenly looks very grim. He frowns and looks at Liliana straight on. "Never ask, "what's the worst that can happen?" with a witch," he advises.

Liliana laughs and grins wickedly. "Vell, now I feel challenged. I'll haf to go talk to her, even if vou won' take me," she says, and grins widely. Very widely.

The young man lets out a long sigh, head flopping down on the pillows. "Well," he breathes, "I suppose I knew this would happen eventually. I'll go too, I can't avoid responsibility."

"Oh, pish, it doesn' have to be tonigh'," Liliana says and walks over. She then promptly sits on Morgan's back. "Jus' soon. I don' like feelin' like I'm somthin' to be ashamed of."

"Oof," Morgan protests when sat upon. Luckily his tail provides a lot of shock absorption, being almost as big as he is and twice as fluffy. "Does it matter? I know it's important, but you will be leaving me eventually. I like you, and I haven't hidden the fact from most people. Is it wise to poke the bee's nest when you're not looking for honey?"

"It matter to me," Liliana notes and reaches up, over, and pokes Morgan's nose. "Cuz, I want to know I can return every vear to check on my play'ting. I'm no about to give up someone who's takin' training so vell." She winks.

Morgan rubs his nose and grins. "It'll be nice to know you're thinking of me, even if I'm your toy," he teases, then reaches up and tickles the bat's ribs. "But all right, if it's that important to you then it's important to me too. I just want you to know it could be uncomfortable for us both, and I may not be able to tell you why, if it goes badly."

Liliana giggles and bats at Morgan's hands. "Pish. Everybody love me, notin' bad kin happen," she insists. The bat then leans over and noses Morgan's neck, murmuring, "So, vhen vou gonna let me bite you, hmm? It be jus' a sign of affection, after all."

Morgan wiggles away from the bat's teeth. "I don't know," he mumbles, looking at Liliana's eyes.

"Awww, vhat are vou afraid of?" Liliana murmurs and actually tightens her grip a bit and holding Morgan still. "I coul' just do it, vou know," she teases.

"Ohhhh, all right – but no chewing!" The squirrel wiggles back in to position and lifts his chin. "And leave some blood, I need it, you know."

Liliana blinks, then looks actually disappointed. "Awww. Vou coul' haf put up a bit more figh'. Dat makes it more fun when I win," she coos in his ear. The bat's head dips down anyway, her breath blowing over his exposed neck. "It vill hurt at first," she warns. "An vou know dis is only part one, ves?"

"I was hoping for a part two and three," Morgan confesses. he closes his eyes as Liliana's fangs draw near, but he does grin widely.

"Ves, vell. Vou haf to drin' from me next," Liliana notes, "It part o' de whole datin' t'ing." Morgan can feel her muzzle open around his neck. She positions, making sure she won't damage anything serious. And without warning, her mouth closes firmly. Two sharp, stabbing, points of pain light up in the side of Morgan's neck. It burns brightly for a moment, then fades to a dull numbness.

"Ahh!" Morgan cries when bitten. He knows enough about medicine to not flinch, but he does sort of look like he wants to wince, what with that pained expression. At first, at least. It slowly eases, and he settles down. "Well, that's not so bad."

Liliana's jaw lightens some, and Morgan can actually feel her sucking softly on his neck, and the rather odd flowing sensation in spite of the numbness. She pets against the side of his face soothingly.

Morgan pales a little, his inner ear whitening. "This is a really strange sensation, but I'm getting used to you and those," he murmurs, trying not to move much as he talks.

Liliana only holds Morgan's neck in her jaws for a few minutes before releasing. She sits back and puts her hand firmly on the two small puncture wounds left behind. "It kin feel strange, ves," she notes, licking her reddened teeth. "Vou know, vou taste funny."

"You mean funnier than usual," asks Morgan as he tries to look back at the bat.

"Oh, vell, dat tastes normal," Liliana notes and waves her hand dismissively, "Vour blood doesn't though. It prolly nothing." She then looks at him and asks bluntly, "Vou prefer to use my neck or arm?"

"Well, have you ever, ah, had a Kadie before? And, um … neck … but that um … me, not having teeth," the Kadie says, starting off nicely but ending with an embarrassed stammer.

Liliana waves her hand in the Eee eye rolling mimic. "I handle de puncture part, silly Kadie," she notes. "So, I pick arm, then," she adds and raises her own arm to her mouth. And just before she bites, something odd happens. She blinks, her body suddenly goes slack, and the Eee collapses into a disheveled heap on the floor.
