Lochinvar helps Tock and Matchstick move the camp, and Matchstick finds the trail of a Titanian – obviously that of Glot, the only known Titanian on the entire planet. Lochinvar pursues the trail, and discovers Glot hard at work trying to maintain a machine deep in a Hooka populated cave. Glot relates that when the machine was damaged by a falling stalactite, the Hooka Mother started "sneezing" out monsters instead of baby Hookas. Glot has been fighting monsters and working on keeping the machine working in order to keep more monsters from being produced.

Lochinvar offers to bring Tock, the Technopriest, to help maintain the machine.
