Welcoming a New Face to Court
In which Simon is made known to Tom, Alice, and Rebecca 		(Alice) (Rebecca) (Siege des Anges) (Simon) ()

Simon enters the scene knocked over by a local bully, Boris, and is rescued by Tom and Alice. Through good speech, Tom is able to swerve Boris from his juvenile delinquent ways for at least the space of this log, and Simon, making good his escape, proceeds to trip over Rebecca, who is most wrathful. After a time, she decides that Simon might fit well into court and dubs him Jester, at which we are introduced to their alter egoes: Rebecca is the mighty Lady Sorceress Nymue of the Lake, Alice is Princess Angel, Healer of the Sick and Benefactress of the Weak, and Tom is Thomas, late of the explorers called Golden Hawks. They discuss the Key, a mystical artifact that is the only way to discover the whereabouts of the King, who has gone missing, and how it might be found, and speculate that a certain cosmic arrangement of the sun and features of the Siege des Anges will lead them to the next place to look.
