Tom visits the Travison residence to hand-deliver a message to Elinor, with directions to his tree house, and a note for her. He finds her cleaning silverware -- silverware that she brought with her from "Ruritania", it seems, as a gift for the Travisons. Elinor agrees to go visit Tom's treehouse the following afternoon.
